Password Corral - v2.1 - Release notes - 1/13/1999

Password Corral is a program to organize all your network and system passwords
in one, secure place. PC uses 128-bit Diamond2 encryption to protect your
information. Never forget a password again!
This program is freeware and available at no cost to anyone. Note that Password
Corral IS NOT public domain software. See the legal section for information and
restrictions on it's distribution.
Password Corral is not for use outside of the USA or Canada. See the legal
section for more information.
Though Password Corral is freeware, donations are encouraged. If you wish to
send money, send what you think Password Corral is worth to you. Make checks or
money orders payable to David M. Fornalsky and send to the contact address
below. Any payment will be used toward further development of this program.
Installation/Uninstallation:

Password Corral has been tested and runs correctly on Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows NT v4.0 and Windows NT v5.0.
*** If you are using v1.0 of Password Corral, you should uninstall it first ***
*** before installing this version. ***
To install Password Corral, uncompress the zip file that contains the program
and run SETUP.EXE.
If you're using the "No Setup" version of Password Corral, simply unzip the
files to the directory of your choice and run PASSWORD.EXE.
To uninstall Password Corral, go to the Control Panel and select
'Add/Remove Programs'. From the resulting dialog box select Password Corral and
click the 'Add/Remove...' button. The software will automatically be removed.
If you're using the "No Setup" version of Password Corral, you'll have to
remove the program files and registry information manually. Delete the
directory you placed the Password Corral files into. Next, start the Windows
REGEDIT.EXE program and delete the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Productions\Password Corral
Description of features:

Single repository for passwords:
Password Corral provides you with one location to store your passwords and
access them with just one. Never forget a password again!
Password descriptions and notes:
Give each password it's own informative description and enter details in the
notes box.
Diamond2 encryption:
Password Corral uses 128-bit Diamond2 encryption to keep your sensitive
information away from prying eyes.
Expiration warnings:
You can set each password you enter into Password Corral to expire after a
specified number of days. This will give you a handy reminder to change your
passwords for maximum security.
Multiple user accounts on a single PC:
You can set up any number of Password Corral accounts on a single PC. Your
unique password gives you, and only you, access to your passwords.
Printing:
You can make a hard copy of your password list if so desired.
Copy passwords to the Windows clipboard:
When you need to reference Password Corral to find a password, you can also cut
the password to the clipboard. That way, you can press CTRL+V to paste it
directly into any other program without having to type it in.
Export passwords to other PC's:
You can export your passwords, manually or automatically, to a text file and
then easily import them to another PC running Password Corral. The text file
is protected by the same 128-bit Diamond2 encryption.
Full on-line and What's This help:
Press 'F1' in any dialog box for help. Right-click on most objects for a quick
description.
Known problems in this release:

* Corruption of toolbar icons has been seen on PC's using Diamond's Viper v330
video board. See the BUGS.TXT file for more information.
